All of the content of this course constitutes the theory part of the course. As soon as you have completed all of the content, watched all of the videos on needle insertion, downloaded the manuals, listened to all of the audios and looked at the photo examples, you can begin your generally supervised practical treatments.

We cover the theory of Chinese Medicine, point location and needling techniques, the continuum of the flow of Qi, organ systems and emotions i.e. the origin of mental and physical illnesses, treating trauma, stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, ADHD, bipolar disorder as well as physical illnesses. We supply the manuals and also include how to start your business as well as the ideal treatment environment & sound tracks to play during the treatment session and medical waste disposal & procedures to avoid cross contamination. The Facial Rejuvenation course covers foundations, tools and supplies, cosmetic acupuncture, dermatology, TCM cosmetology, acupuncture points demonstration, acupuncture points demonstration, acupuncture needling practice demonstration, face acupressure, head and arm massage, TCM facial cupping, facial Gua Sha, facial jade rolling, treatment plan for cosmetic acupuncture, skincare rituals. Once you have finished the course online (no time limit) you must complete 40 hours of practicals (50 treatments). This you have no time limit from the time that you begin them. These are supervised through what is known as general supervision. I.e. after each treatment you need to take a photo of your needle insertions and email them to your trainer. From the photos, your trainer will able to see your needle depth and point location and advise you on any adjustments that need to take place. This is done by correcting the photos that you emailed us and sending them back to you. General supervision is an accepted practice worldwide. As you may know, surgeons worldwide learn new procedures via video conferencing. In other words, once you have completed the theory part, your practical is done at your own venue and in your own time, we do not need to be present for each insertion. The protocols are safe and seldom present any complications. By the time you have completed 40 hours, (i.e. 50 treatments), your point location will be good and your confidence will be good too. Now you are ready for your exam. 

For Acudetox, this is either done in person in Johannesburg or via WhatsApp video by submitting photos of the volunteers after the exam. It is a practical exam (one hour), and is not written because all of the theory is covered in the online course material. However there is a small verbal/oral component to it, where you will simply follow the protocol in speaking to your volunteers while giving them the treatment. For the Acudetox exam, you need to complete inserting the needles into all 5 people within a one hour period. However it will take you about 25 minutes. For the facial rejuvenation practitioner exam you will have 3 hours to complete 5 full treatments. This is done in the same manner as the WhatsApp video format mentioned above. For Yamamoto Scalp Acupuncture, you will have 2 hours to complete treatments on 5 different volunteers. This is done in the same manner as the WhatsApp video format mentioned above.

As soon as you pass your final exam you will need to fill out an application form, sign and return an ethics pledge and pay the annual registration fee of $39USD. Once we have received payment as well as the documents mentioned, you will be able to register with the Acupuncture Detoxification Practitioner Institute. Your practitioner certificate will then be sent to you via email.

If you have previously completed and qualifed as one of the professions offered with us, you will need to fill out an application form, sign and return an ethics pledge and pay the annual registration fee of $39USD. Once we have received payment as well as the documents mentioned and can verify them, you will be able to register with the Acupuncture Detoxification Practitioner Institute. Your practitioner certificate will then be sent to you via email.

For Acudetox, the only area where we need to be cautious with Acudetox is by avoiding doing Acudetox on pregnant women in their last trimester because it can induce labour. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture cannot be done on pregnant women. YNSA can also not be done on pregnant women.
